Capt. B. Cook Glascock, owner of CMC.
While growing up in the small waterfront town of Solomons, my father owned and operated a marina, so naturally I grew up around boats and on the water. I also had the privilege of watching and learning from my grandfather while he re-built several fishing boats including a Bertram 31’.
Working at the family marina as a teenager introduced me to the marine industry and ultimately led me to peruse and obtain a marine engineering degree from the Florida Keys Community College in Key West.
Over the last decade, I have worked in several boatyards and mechanic shops, expanding my hands on experience and knowledge. I have also acquired a USCG 50 Ton Masters License and become an accredited marine surveyor. Surveying boats, from commercial oyster boats to custom yachts, has shown me the ins and outs as well as what works and what doesn’t when it comes to systems and construction.
Through education, hands on experience and inspecting hundreds of boats I have acquired the skill and knowledge needed to deliver quality work that my clients can enjoy for years to come.
